Simpang Lima Gumul (SLG) again

Hi! Let me introduce you with my city..

Simpang lima gumul (SLG) is monument names on Kediri. Some people usually call it Paris on Java. This is because the monument looks like building / architecture in Paris (L’Arch de Triomphe). Simpang Lima Gumul (SLG) is Kediri Icon. The process to build it started on 2003 and controlled by Mr Sutrisno (Regent). The wide of this building is 804 m², high 25 m with scaling ladder 3 m from base. The number showed date, month, and age Kediri city birthday that is 25 March 804 mashie. On tetrahedral there was Ganesha figure (human with 4 hands and elephant head) that is Kediri sub-province icon. This monument consist of meeting room in first floor, hall auditorium on top floor (in the picture looks like dome) and Multipurpose room in basement. In this monument were 3 underground ways to access the monument from parking area.

Simpang lima gumul merupakan nama dari monument di Kediri. Beberapa orang menyebutnya paris di jawa karena bangunannya yang mirip dengan bangunan di paris (L’Arch de Trimphe). Simpang lima gumul adalah ikon Kediri. Proses pembangunannya mulai 2003 di bawah pengawasan  bupati Kediri yaitu bapak Sutrisno. Luas bangunanya 804 m², tinggi 25 m dan tinggi tangga dari dasar 3 m. angka ini menunjukan hari, bulan dan tahun jadinya kota Kediri yaitu 25 maret 804 masehi. Di setiap sudut ada patung ganesa (manusia bertangan empat dan kepala gajah) yang merupakan lambang dari kabupaten Kediri. Monument ini terdiri dari ruang pertemuan di lantai utama, hall auditorium di lantai atas (di gambar terlihat seperti kubah) dan ruang serbaguna di lantai dasar. Tersedia 3 jalan bawah tanah / lorong bawah tanah dari tempat parker menuju monument ini.

Simpang Lima area was completed by bus station, field, traditional market and Gumul Paradise Island (Water Park). Every Saturday night there were traditional market. The market offers some traditional food, sale, children games and toys. My favourite here was rent a cycle (here we call it Sepeda Gowes ). Why I like it? Because I can ride it with my family or friends then enjoyed SLG panorama in the night. In special occasion there was people local party in Indonesia we call it PESTA RAKYAT (bazaar)  The purpose from this bazaar is showing and promotion the local product such as souvenir, traditional fabric, clothes, food, kinds of tree (excellent plant), etc. (next time I will show about SLG in the night)

Simpang lima gumul dilengkapi dengan terminal bus, lapangan, pasar tradisional dan Gumul Paradise Island (wisata air). Setiap malam minggu bakalan ada pasar malam / dermolem. Pasarnya menawarkan jajanan pinggir jalan, obral, mainan buat anak anak (mandi bola, odong- odong, kreta – keretaan.. ya pokoknya begituan lah..) favoritnya uli mayang sendiri sich becak / sepedah gowes karena bisa menikmati malam di gumul bersama keluarga atau teman – teman. Seru banget naik ni sepedah bareng keluarga, banyak bertengkarnya..hihi… gimana gak bertengkar kan berat genjot sepedahnya kalau ada yang nggak genjot. Papa sempat ngedumel (mengeluh) “kesel kok di tuku!)” yang artinya ‘capek kok di beli’ hehe…
